On 24 October, the Community of Economists, Territory and Urban Planning (ETU) of the Basque Association of Economists, with the collaboration of the Department of Territorial Planning, Housing and Transport of the Basque Government, organised the conference “Rental housing and the economic and financial feasibility of urban planning”.
In this conference, Miquel Morell and Agustí Jover addressed the methodological scheme of economic and financial evaluation of urban planning instruments, introducing in this economic and financial evaluation the promotion of social rental housing and its fit into the value chain of urban transformation. During the conference, various examples of economic and financial evaluations of urban plans in Catalonia that incorporate the analysis of social rental housing were presented.
