On November 5th, the XXVI Conference of Economists “The economy and society post COVID-19” was held. The conference, held online, addressed the economic effects of the pandemic and the challenges of overcoming it. It was analyzed, among other topics, where the Catalan economy is going from the point of view of infrastructure, city, trade, culture, tourism and sport, and its trends in sustainability, scientific excellence and competitiveness.

In this day, the Commission of Territorial and Urban Economy of the College of Economists of Catalonia organized the session entitled “The extension of the Airport of Barcelona – El Prat. An holistic approach ”, introduced and presented by Mr. Joan Ràfols and Mr. Miquel Morell, with the participation of Mr. Xavier Vives, academic director of the Public-Private Sector Research Centre of the IESE Business School, of Mr. Joan Rojas, partner of ALG Transport & Infrastructure, and Mr. Josep Lascuraín, General Manager of SGM, Urban Planning & Ecosystem.
