This is the largest urban development operation in the metropolitan area of Barcelona located outside the capital.

It is an investment project that aims to create new land for economic activities and housing for an area of influence that covers the eastern half of the metropolitan area.

The environmental features of the area, the diversity and richness of its economic fabric, and the good accessibility to Barcelona’s port and airport, mean this project could find a niche in terms of the market and at an economic and financial level.

The Centre Direccional de Cerdanyola has been able to attract technologically advanced economic activities, especially those linked to the synchrotron (the most important circular particle accelerator in the Mediterranean) and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
